Bathroom Aids...
I know it is a struggle to get bathed and showered... I have been there... For those moderatly/severly affected by C.F.S., taking a shower or a bath becomes a mission all by itself... The fear of either slipping, falling or being stuck in the bath is enough to put us off... Standing in the shower is almost impossible, due to dizziness and weakness in our legs... Yes, we tend to put it off... I know I did until I spoke to my occupational therapist, and bath aids were suggested...
Now I have "Wall Grab Bars" to help me pull myself up from being seated on the toilet.. A bathboard and a "Shower seat"... Only one problem though... I'm still waiting on a shower being fitted...
As a whole, and yes, I felt terrible having to resort to these standards... But now acceptance is in order... I would "NOT" manage without them... It has made the process of bathing and seeing to my toiletry needs so much easier... So, why struggle when help is available??
