Until such time that we find our "magic pill" to cure us, we need to try and get on the best we can... Getting out and about holds a fear factor for all of us... What if we fall?? Personaly speaking... I myself have the aid of a stick... Most days I can't get out as my legs will not take my weight.. I'm feeling dizzy and existing in a world of unreality... Where as it's dangerous for me to be out on my own as I have no concept of traffic, surroundings, etc... on some occasions, I have managed to reach my destination... only to find that it was impossible to get back home...
I also have a Bedside Support Rail, which enables me to pull myself out of bed... It also provides support when trying to stand up in the morning... I also have a perching stool for the kitchen... This proves to be supportive in the event that when I'm making a cup of tea, it allows myself, once seated to be at working space height as it has an adjustable legs... These have become a godsend...
